Hats are so in fashion and style at the moment, a decent retro hat really can add the finishing touch to your long pondered outfit.

Retro is cool right now, especially regarding fashion items, seeking out decent styles can be time consuming, but if you have an internet connection at work, it would seem a shame not to use it!!!

The World of Retro Hats

True Vintage - Retro Hat - of course if you have time to trawl all the second hand shops you might come up with something, although generally most of the decent hats have already been found by the dealers.

So in my view you'd be best going to a retro dealer in the first place, mostly their prices are reasonable anyway, and if they have a hat that you really like then ... just get it, after all it's only money.

Oh yes and here's a snippet of info about those second hand shops, if you've ever wondered why the best hats or indeed any other items have always gone before you get there, then here's why ... the stock is distributed centrally and those in the know get to pick through all the bags of hats and clothes before they are sent out to the individual stores - consiquently very little of the very best stuff ever makes it onto the shop shelves ... such is life!!

New Hats - Retro Style - I've found that most of the fashion retailers, both online and in the hight street have a range of hats at the moment, including quite a few retro style hats at what seems to me to be give away prices - thank goodness for competition!!

Retro Designer Style - most designer have at least one finger in the retro pie, so this seasons collections will always have something retro looking, but at brand new designer prices!!

I'd rather go for something genuinely old or at least a copy from one of the high street type stores.

Ribbons and bows.
Feathers - yes really, one long one.
Sexy Smile - well I'm sure you always wear this!!
Tip: fabric tape around the inside of the rim can, can make a slightly loose hat fit much more snuggly.

Just What is a Retro Hat?

Well a retro hat would be one that exhibits ... fashion, design, or style reminiscent of things past.

Probably only from the last couple of generations.

Some people think that the actual hat needs to be actually old too, personally I think just being retro style is enough.
